Always Onward was a multi-year campaign with the goal of establishing equity and recognition in creative direction. Below are some of the projects that I designed during this season.
Social Media Graphics
Player Cards
Each season, the Thunder produces player cards of their roster. These are half letter size collectables. For the 2021–2022 season, these cards were inspired by the nostalgia of classic sports trading cards.
By establishing a relationship between the front and back of the card as you turn it over, it remains rooted in its physical form even when displayed digitally.
Thunder Pop Up
In summer 2021, the Thunder hosted a pop-up retail experience at the OKC Outlets. As lead designer on the project, I was briefed on the concept to center this experience around the budding street art culture of Oklahoma City.
Through research of OKC street art, I narrowed in on the stylized typography that permeates so many walls throughout the city. I developed an identity system that took form and behavior cues from graffiti and blended that with brand guidelines.
