MESA MEAD

Background

Mesa Mead was created when Tyler Wagner drove across the country zig zagging his way through the National Parks. On this trip, he was inspired to make something unique and connected to nature.

This product and lifestyle is for a community of creative nomads, a demographic that we call the Makers. These millennials value time outdoors and quality time with good friends. They also care more about experiences than material possessions.

Mesa Mead is brewed in Tennessee, using local and seasonal ingredients. Wildflower honey is the main ingredient and then hops, spices, fruit, and more are used for additional flavors. During the spring and summer, the mead is crisp and sweet. In the fall and winter, it is smoky and heavier in flavor.

Identity System

The visual identity system speaks to the seasonal quality of the beverage through the logo mark and graphic elements. The wildflowers represent the origins of the honey and the nomadic spirit of those who drink it.

The system also includes illustrations of different creative outlets of the Makers. Finally, the natural terrain of the National Parks inform the color palette and geometric patterns.

Lifestyle & Experience

Mesa Mead inspires creative nomads to explore the National Parks, connect with a like-minded community, and reward themselves with a unique beverage afterwards. This is all facilitated through the Mesa Mead app.

Additionally, social media is a vibrant community platform, filled with shared experiences, new ideas for adventure, and insights into the mead-making process.
